Feast on melted raclette in your own private igloo under the stars in Canberra

Sweet dreams are made of cheese, who am I to dis a brie? If you love cheese as much as I do, you’ll be over the moon about this cheesy pop up event coming to Canberra this month.

A French winter tradition is to melt raclette cheese and pile it on top of tasty food like potatoes, ham, salami and pickles. Well you don’t have to go to France to do it because this experience is arriving in Canberra for eight nights, starting from 23 June.

You can book your own private igloo and fire pit to enjoy with your family and friends and let your love of cheese fill your tummy. Everyone who books an igloo will arrive to a set table and will indulge in 1.8kg raclette, 1kg charcuterie, potatoes and pickles. Warm mulled wine will be waiting for you in an urn and everyone will receive a giant marshmallow to roast over your own fire pit.

A raclette grill will be waiting for you to use so you can make your melted cheese dreams come true.

It’s $89 per person, bookings are for 1.5hrs and can only be made for groups of six or eight people.
