Best Cinnamon Rolls with Not Quite Nigella
My love for cinnamon rolls is quite fresh. I’d say we’re still in the honeymoon phase. My eyes light up when I see them and I get butterflies in my stomach when I think about them. I first fell in love with them in Canada, earlier this year. I can’t believe we didn’t meet earlier. I spotted a huge sign near a café where we were living that read ‘Fresh Gooey Cinnamon Rolls’. It was winter and I was intrigued. Would it be a bad gooey or a good gooey? It took me another few weeks to introduce myself to them. But when we met, it was love at first taste. The rolls were soft and the gooey, sugary cinnamon sauce that was swirled between the bread was made for the sweet cream cheese icing that coated them. It was a good gooey! If you haven’t tried a cinnamon roll then you need to change that ASAP. I made a batch of 16 a few days ago and there are only three left…. Whoops! But they were smaller than usual and Mr Eat Canberra helped me so that’s totally ok, right? Continue reading Best Cinnamon Rolls with Not Quite Nigella

Eat Canberra Updates
There are lots of exciting things happening for Eat Canberra so I thought I would give you a quick update. Some of you might know that I’ve been overseas for most of 2018. I’ll be sharing more travel tips and information at See Eat Explore and the website will be launching soon. I’ve had some incredible contributors and food tour guides on the ground in Canberra while I’ve been away. They’ve done such a good job!
I’ve been running everything online and had lots of midnight phone and Skype meetings because of the time difference. I arrived back in Canberra yesterday and have hit the ground running. I’ve just been invited to be an Australian Good Food Guide blogger and I’m a member of the Urban Providore Australia tasting panel. I’ll be attending my first tasting event tomorrow. This means I’ll be able to share even more food news, special offers and information with you. It’s likely that I’ll also be editing a cookbook! I’m a freelance writer, qualified journalist and communications professional so please get in touch if you need assistance in those areas. Continue reading Eat Canberra Updates
