Eat Canberra Updates

There are lots of exciting things happening for Eat Canberra so I thought I would give you a quick update. Some of you might know that I’ve been overseas for most of 2018. I’ll be sharing more travel tips and information at See Eat Explore and the website will be launching soon. I’ve had some incredible contributors and food tour guides on the ground in Canberra while I’ve been away. They’ve done such a good job!

I’ve been running everything online and had lots of midnight phone and Skype meetings because of the time difference. I arrived back in Canberra yesterday and have hit the ground running. I’ve just been invited to be an Australian Good Food Guide blogger and I’m a member of the Urban Providore Australia tasting panel. I’ll be attending my first tasting event tomorrow. This means I’ll be able to share even more food news, special offers and information with you. It’s likely that I’ll also be editing a cookbook! I’m a freelance writer, qualified journalist and communications professional so please get in touch if you need assistance in those areas.

Eat Canberra Food Tours is also growing fast and new food tours will be announced soon! Private group bookings are really popular and bookings are already confirmed for December. I’m also working on a bunch of other exciting projects and I can’t wait to share more with you

Eat Canberra now has a strong social media community of 20,000+ and an average of 500 daily website visits. I have lots of exciting things planned for the food and travel industry!

Other than social media, the best way for you to stay updated, be the first to know about announcements and receive exclusive offers is to sign up to the newsletter (no spam – promise!). Here’s the link http://eepurl.com/b6pAnT

I’ve been running Eat Canberra by myself since I launched it almost 3 years ago, with the exception of a few amazing contributors helping out occasionally since mid-2017. Earlier this year I also hired some incredible casual food tour guides so food tours could continue while I was away. So many hours, hard work, tears, achievements and stress has gone into building Eat Canberra to what it is today. But I love every minute of it and I have a feeling that this is just the beginning….

There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes and as everything continues to grow, so will the team. I can’t do it all alone anymore and I can’t wait to share more with you when I can.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. Eat Canberra wouldn’t be what it is without you so I’m sending you all a big virtual hug. THANK YOU! It’s a really tough space to be in sometimes but seeing your likes, comments, shares, messages of support and knowing people visit the website and trust our recommendations keep me motivated. Eat Canberra and Eat Canberra Food Tours will continue to be bigger and better  Canberra really is one amazing city! 🍴
