30 Privileges Taste Vouchers up for grabs to celebrate Canberra tourism business’s 30th birthday on Canberra Day

Many people have carried the Privileges Card in their wallet since it was founded in 1991, including well-known politicians like John Howard and Kate Carnell.

Canberra businessman Robert Leticq is the founder of this successful business and Robert still heads up the business today. Over the years he has expanded the business, taking it to South East Asia in 2005.

The premium dining rewards program helps people discover great dining locations, including popular restaurants in Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok, Bali and Australia.

Before COVID-19, there was a big focus on international destinations and Privileges would allow travellers to enjoy dining incentives on their overseas holidays.

Since international travel has been off the cards, Robert has been able to adapt his business and ride the COVID-19 wave. He has moved the direction of Privileges to focus on the domestic market, and he has expanded the business to tropical destinations like Cairns and Port Douglas.

Well-established companies including Flight Centre and Qantas Holidays have used the Privileges Card to reward their customers with dining incentives over the years.

Robert says Flight Centre see North Queensland as the ‘new Asia’ for the next few years but there are still deals available in Canberra.

“My partners in the tourism industry want to use Privileges to help domestic tourists play ‘tourists in their own town’ and this includes Canberra, where Privileges still promotes several popular restaurants and cafes,” said Mr Leticq.

Privileges is the longest established business of its type in Australia and has won numerous tourism awards.

They donate a percentage of their profits to charities that support a range of causes, providing support for displaced tourism staff in devastated destinations like Phuket, Koh Samui and Bali.

To celebrate their 30th birthday on Canberra Day 2021, Privileges is giving away 30 Privileges Taste Vouchers to Eat Canberra readers.

You could save up to $75 at restaurants including Daana, Buvette Bistro & Wine Bar, Saffron Restaurant, Hungry Buddha and The Dock.
