Creative cocktails for pick up or delivery

Although restrictions are beginning to ease and there’s light at the end of the Covid-19 tunnel, it might be some time before we get to head to a bar and enjoy a cocktail whenever we feel like doing so. Luckily for us, many creative businesses have developed cocktails for pick up or delivery. So all you have to do is place your order, pick them up (or get them delivered if it’s an option) and enjoy a bar experience in your own home.

Sabi Beverages

Sabi Beverages have been serving their shots in a bubble to Canberrans since April 2018. You might have seen them ‘pop’ up at various events in Canberra over the years and their shots in a bubble can also be ordered for events. They recently created packs for Mother’s Day and have just announced their takeaway home packs, available from Friday 22 May. Choose from flavours like the Pick Me Up (espresso martini), Cranberry Crush, Lychee Mojito and more. They’ve even made premium silver and gold bubbles….. whaaaaat?!

They’re offering free delivery for all orders (depending on location) placed online before Monday 18 May. Visit their website to place your order, email info@sabibeverages.com.au if you have any questions or contact them via Facebook or Instagram.

Cocktails in a bag from Zaab Street Food

You’re missing out if you haven’t tried the food from Zaab! Their delicious Thai/Lao food always hits the spot and thanks to Covid-19, you can now get their food to pick up or get it delivered. You can also add a cocktail in a bag to your order, or one of their newly release cocktails in a bottle. Their Date Night in Pack includes a feast for two as well as two cocktails in a bag for only $55.

Food and drinks from Zaab are available to pick up and delivery is available to select suburbs. Visit their website and go to ‘Takeaway’ to check out the drinks and food menu to place an order. You can also find Zaab on Instagram and Facebook.

Bubble tea cocktails from Beirut Bunker Bar

Bubble tea has been trending for a while now but what about bubble tea cocktails?! Beirut Bunker Bar is an edgy bar located in Garema Place. They aim to debunk the myths about Beirut over a few of their innovative quality craft cocktails. Bars and pubs have been hit hard with most having to close completely. The team at Beirut Bunker Bar quickly pivoted when everything started to change and have been delivery their range of bevvies to Canberrans. Keep it classic with a Negroni or heat things up with their Wasabi Martini. They also have six different bubble tea cocktails to choose from.

Cocktails in a can from Curatif

Curatif is a Melbourne-based business that launched last year and our research tells us they’re the first canned cocktails to launch in Australia. Correct us if we’re wrong! They have a range of classic cocktails in a can but launched with a Negroni made with Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin, and an Espresso Martini featuring Archie Rose Original Vodka. They’ve recently added Tommy’s Margarita, The Toreador and a pineapple daiquiri to their collection. They have a long shelf life and the cans can be recycled. Curatif cocktails are said to be ‘world class’ using the finest ingredients. We’ve tried their Espresso Martini and the Tommy’s Margarita and can easily say, they’re some of the best cocktails we’ve had.

High Jinks @ Home

High Jinks (previously Black Market) is located in NewActon. A quick trip in the lift or down the stairs through Morning Glory will take you to this cool bar in the basement. They’ve just launched High Jinks @ Home allowing you to enjoy three of their carefully crafted cocktails in the comfort of your own home. Choose from the Rose Negroni, Killer Bee or the Penicillin. Each pack comes with a crystal-clear ‘Titanic’ ice block and garnishes.

Quaran-tinnies from Akiba

It’s no surprise that one of Canberra’s favourite restaurants and bars pivoted quickly and have been offering delivery for some time now. The team at Akiba have continued to get creative (we’d expect nothing less) and have recently launched their range of Quaran-tinnies. There are 9 flavours for you to choose from at either $5 or $8 per tinnie. Taking advantage of their free home delivery (within 30km of city and minimum $40 order) is a no-brainer. Some of our favourite dishes include the buns, dumplings, Kingfish sashimi, beef short rib and Japanese fried chicken are all available to order takeaway.

‘Roch Bottom’ cocktails from Bar Rochford

Bar Rochford has been named Australia’s best bar and since they’ve had to shut their doors, they quickly opened the ‘Roch-Bottom’ online booze shop. They’ve kept their online cocktail collection simple with four options to choose from, including a Negroni and an Old Fashioned.
