A foodie adventure at Kingston Foreshore

Eat Canberra

We’re spoilt for choice in Canberra with so many things to see, eat and explore. It’s a great place to live and to visit for a holiday! The bushfires and other global events have impacted Australian land, animals, people and businesses in many ways. The tourism and hospitality industries are struggling globally, nationally and locally.

So we want to encourage locals and visitors to get out there and support local tourism and hospitality businesses. If you’re not from Canberra, now is a great time to visit. Visit Canberra are currently running a #holidayherecbr campaign so if you share your photos on Instagram make sure you use the hashtag to showcase Canberra and the many amazing things to do here.

As part of the campaign, we went on a little foodie adventure to the Kingston Foreshore and wanted to share it with you to give you some inspiration to get out and explore. Enjoy!

Get up early and go for a walk by the water along Eastlake Parade and have something to eat and drink at one of the many cafes. We visited Local Press Cafe for breakfast. They have lots of healthy options as well as cold pressed juices and you’ll have a nice view of the water if you sit outside. They’re also one of the many dog-friendly eateries in Canberra!

Walk to the end of Eastlake Parade towards Lake Burley Griffin after breakfast and go for a walk to enjoy some of Canberra’s landmarks, or take some time out and sit down at Jack Ross Park.
