Canberra’s most exclusive bar is opening to the public

Beginning May 4, QT Canberra will open the doors of its exclusive Sky Lounge to the public.

Located on the 15th floor of QT Canberra, the lounge has previously been accessible to members, or by invite only. When it first opened in 2014, the first 300 invitations went to the top 200 ASX executives in Australia.

I’ve been to the Sky Lounge before and it has stunning views of Lake Burley Griffin on one side and Black Mountain on the other. The photo above is what I saw from my seat. The seats are really comfortable and it has a polished and exclusive feel.

There are exclusive member-only clubs all around the world with some costing thousands of dollars to join PLUS entry fees. Mr Eat Canberra knows someone who works at the Vancouver Club and it’s really fancy! It also costs a small fortune to join…

So if you want to go to an exclusive bar without forking out money resulting in a menu of Mi Goreng for the next month, then the Sky Lounge is for you.

The Sky Lounge will be open to the public from May 4 on Friday nights from 5-10pm. But you can’t just turn up and expect to be granted entry. You must register for the guest list and hope for the best!
