Canberra Wine Week

Eat Canberra

Did you know that there are more than 140 vineyards and more than 30 cellar doors in Canberra’s wine region? Canberra Wine Week is about to kick off with more than 30 events happening across the region. It’s an exciting time in Canberra and the region, as we witness amazing growth not only the food scene, but also the wine scene. The events will be held from 5-15 April to celebrate the delicious drop of the alcoholic grape liquid we call wine.

Over the next few weeks you can experience vertical wine tastings, incredible wine dinners and grape stomping! You can even test your knowledge at wine trivia, meet some of the incredible wine makers and blend your own wine.

You can also celebrate the launch of Canberra Wine Week at the Canberra Wine Tasting event in the beautiful courtyard at New Acton. More than 60 wines will be available for you to taste from midday to 4pm on Saturday 7th April. Collect your Canberra Wines tasting glass on arrival and taste your way around the Canberra wine region.  Tickets are only $20 (+ booking fee) and can be purchased online or for $25 at the door. There will also be lots of delicious food available to buy.

As part of the Canberra Wine week, Ginger Catering will be hosting a relaxed al fresco Long Lunch at National Arboretum Canberra. The event will feature local wines from: Lark Hill Winery, Collector Wines, Gallagher Wines, Four Winds Vineyard and Lerida Estate. This is just one of the many amazing events you can attend.
