Chicken wings. Delicious bites of succulent chicken meat that easily falls off the bone, covered in a delicious marinade or flavorsome seasoning. How can something so simple be so moreish? I don’t have the answer to that but I do know that I often get a craving for chicken wings… I recently had them in Banff and they were 6 for $2 or 12 for $4 for a Friday special! Crazy hey? Unfortunately I haven’t found them that cheap in Canberra but I’ve managed to find some good deals. So I thought I would share my love of chicken wings with you! Shorty’s in the city have the cheapest chicken wing deal that I’ve found. You can get wings for 40 cents each and $4 tinnies all day on Mondays!
Public in Manuka have $10 wings all day on Thursdays.
Ace High Eatery and Bar in Tuggeranong have the best buffalo chicken wings that I’ve had in Canberra. They are so similar to buffalo wings I’ve had in America and they’re super addictive…. Prices start from 6 for $6 for their plain chicken wings and 6 for $8 for their buffalo wings. They also have sweet ‘n’ smoky BBQ wings.
Grease Monkey have their own take on hot wings that are covered in a sweet BBQ sauce that is has a good kick to it and they’re only $7.
Soul Cartel’s Farr Side Café in Issacs have just started their Wing It Wednesday deal. You can get $1 wings with your choice of buffalo or sticky BBQ sauce from 11:30am-2:30pm or until sold out. I’ve had the buffalo wings and they are really good!

Young and Frisky in Gungahlin and Hopscotch on Lonsdale St have 50 cent wings buffalo wings on Sundays! Add blue cheese sauce for $2.
Korean Fried Chicken? Say no more. Find Korean Buffalo Wings at Lazy Su on Lonsdale St for $12. They are smothered in a gochujang glaze and served with kewpie mayo.
Mookie expanded their menu a few months ago and they’re now dishing up spicy crumbed buffalo wings with devil chili or Texas bbq sauce. Get 4 for $7.50 or 8 for $13.50.
