One of Sydney’s most iconic eateries, The Grounds of Alexandria is a foodie’s wonderland. Since its opening in 2012, The Grounds went from one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, to a must must visit destination. I have gone out of my way to go every time I’m in Sydney since I first heard about it in 2014. While maintaining its original charm, detail and level of care, The Grounds has grown exponentially in size, visitors and sites. With a quirky, retro fit out and a uniquely delicious menu, it’s easy to see why Penny University is one of Canberra’s most popular brunch spots. It’s also a favourite with the stars like Adam Goodes, former Sydney Swans player, who stop by to get a taste for themselves. Their menu changes seasonally and we recently tried a few items from their summer menu. The menu features a few Japanese inspired dishes, alongside classic brunch items with a Penny twist.
