Chinese New Year (also known as Lunar New Year) is almost here. The Chinese festival celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar, highlighting traditions, cultural activities, drinks and of course, food. Many Asian restaurants release special menus for the celebration. This year is the Year of the Pig and festivities for 2019 will kick off from 5th February, Chinese New Year’s Day, and will run until 17th February. We’ve got the exclusive first look at the Chinese New Year menus from two of Canberra’s best Asian restaurants, Lanterne Rooms and Chairman & Yip.

Good Food Month announces 2019 Canberra Program

Good Food Month is one of my favourite times of year. It’s a month that features foodie events that highlight some of Canberra’s culinary stars. It also brings international and national chefs to the nation’s capital to celebrate all things food. It also means that the popular Night Noodle Markets is just around the corner.
