The Commons Street Feast is coming to Canberra

Eat Canberra

Food festivals are a growing trend in Canberra and let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good food festival? From 9-18 December Canberrans will be able to indulge in a range of delicious food and beverages at The Commons Street Feast.

Situated in Commonwealth Park there will be pop up restaurants, food trucks, art installations, a wine bar, a craft beer bar and more. It’s a free event, with dinner each night. There’s also weekend lunches with activities for the kids.

Cult favourites Mary’s will be spending their Canberra debut serving up their signature burgers in their own pop up restaurant. They’ll be joined by the award-winning Gelato Messinawho’ll be creating edible art with their international Soup Kitchen – also for the very first time in Canberra.

I indulged in the Bounty gelato from Gelato Messina when I was in Sydney earlier this year!

Bao Stop will be bringing their trifecta bao, peking duck fries (we had these at the Night Noodle Markets and they are delish) and a never seen before cocktail bar. Happy as Larry will be dishing up traditional Napoli wood fired pizza made fresh from their truck and the amazing Pialliago Estate will be plating up their infamous cured meat and cheese platters.

There will be a bespoke Craft Beer bar featuring Capital Brew Co., Pact Beer Co., Batlow Cider and Little Creatures plus a dedicated espresso martini bar (I’m SO excited about this!) and a wine bar featuring Rouge Wines Cellar Van, who’ll have local and international wines available.

It doesn’t stop there! You can hire your own butler to wait on you hand and foot if you want to treat yourself and your friends for a night at The Commons. They can reserve you a table, order and deliver your food and drinks and even curate a menu if you’re overwhelmed by the all the choices!
