Who doesn’t love a good burger?! There’s something about deliciously tasty (and sometimes indulgent) fillings sandwiched between a soft bread roll that has sent Canberra and the world a little burger mad. I’m guilty of eating a few burgers out each month and we also make a killer burger at home (I’ll share the recipe with you soon). You can pack so much flavour in a burger and it’s so satisfying holding a juicy burger in your hands and devouring every last mouthful. We’ve put together a list of burgers and burger joints that we think you should check out in Canberra. Some places are dedicated burger joints and others have one or more ‘must try’ burgers on their menu! WARNING: Drool-worthy images ahead. Continue reading Must try burgers in Canberra

Winter in Canberra is a truly beautiful time of year. The leaves have fallen and there is a definite winter chill in the air. Dishes are becoming richer, and Canberrans are searching for mid-week feasts to stay warm. Winter is also a time to celebrate fresh seasonal produce, and that is exactly what Il Covo did recently at their pear-themed dinner.
Eat Canberra and Rainbow Nourishments have joined forces to bring you a winter-themed wholefoods plant-based feast! This pop-up dinner will be held at Local Press Café, a Canberra brunch hot spot, and will showcase incredible local wholefood businesses that don’t have a shop front. One of Sydney’s most iconic eateries, The Grounds of Alexandria is a foodie’s wonderland. Since its opening in 2012, The Grounds went from one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, to a must must visit destination. I have gone out of my way to go every time I’m in Sydney since I first heard about it in 2014. While maintaining its original charm, detail and level of care, The Grounds has grown exponentially in size, visitors and sites. I visited recently and I knew it was time to share my experience with you. Continue reading The Grounds of Alexandria – a magical day out
