Whether you’re a devout vegan or a flexitarian, eating out can be a challenge. You might avoid going out altogether because of limited choices and dietary requirements. When I first transitioned to a vegetarian, I was severely disappointed by how restricted my menu options were. But as the determined foodie I am, I tried many restaurants all around Canberra and found some absolute standouts. There are loads of places around our wonderful city offering delicious options for vegos and vegans. Continue reading The ultimate vegetarian guide to Canberra

The Grounds of Alexandria – a magical day out

One of Sydney’s most iconic eateries, The Grounds of Alexandria is a foodie’s wonderland. Since its opening in 2012, The Grounds went from one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, to a must must visit destination. While maintaining its original charm, detail and level of care, The Grounds has grown exponentially in size, visitors and sites. I visited recently and I knew it was time to share my experience with you. Continue reading The Grounds of Alexandria – a magical day out

Their menu changes seasonally and we recently tried a few items from their summer menu. The menu features a few Japanese inspired dishes, alongside classic brunch items with a Penny twist. GREEN PEA PANCAKE WITH CORN SALSA, SMOKED SALMON & POACHED EGGS

Eat Canberra

Local Press Cafe is one of my favourite cafes in Canberra. They serve healthy, fresh and flavoursome whole foods and that’s our kind of food. They’re also located at the beautiful Kingston Foreshore so you can enjoy a delicious lunch or breakfast, soak up the surroundings and go for a walk around Lake Burley Griffin before or after you have a bite to eat or something to drink. MasterChef Australia contestant, Trent Harvey, also worked at Local Press Cafe when he finished filming the show and is still involved with the Local Press Cafe team. If you haven’t heard, Eat Canberra is hosting our very first event at The Truffle Farm where guests will be treated to a two-course lunch cooked by Trent, desserts by Naked Foods Braddon and lots more.
