Lunch at Olleyville

Lunch at Olleyville

Have you been to Olleyville? It’s the restaurant at Murrumbateman’s premium family-owned winery, Shaw Vineyard Estate and it reopened in August. The restaurant is a short drive from Canberra and the menu has something for everyone. I took Mr Eat Canberras mum there for lunch on a Friday and we were very impressed. We agreed that it would be a great location for lunch or dinner with the rest of the family. Continue reading Lunch at Olleyville

Escape to Hamilton Island

I’ve always said that the only way to survive a Canberra winter is to get out, even if it’s just for an extra long weekend! We’re in the midst of the coldest time of the year in Canberra and it’s not too late to plan your winter escape. Even if you don’t live in Canberra, if a warm, island destination (otherwise known as paradise) is where you want to be then Hamilton Island is the perfect escape for you. We went there earlier in the year and had the best time exploring the island! Continue reading Escape to Hamilton Island
