She also loves to be active and is passionate about increasing awareness for mental health, homelessness and many other causes.

She launched Eat Canberra on social media in late-2015 to showcase the amazing food and beverage scene in Canberra. Since then, Eat Canberra has grown to be a trusted source for food and travel recommendations in Canberra and beyond.

She has worked and studied internationally. She has interned at the ABC and Lifeline, and has volunteered for many organisations including Amnesty International, PANDSI, Australian Red Cross and TedX Canberra. She has more than 10 years experience as a communications professional and runs a boutique communications agency. She launched Eat Canberra Food Tours, Canberra’s first food tour company, in 2017. Eat Canberra Food Tours is a unique foodie experience that takes people offline to enjoy some of the amazing food and beverage options in Canberra. Eat Canberra Food Tours show locals, interstate and international visitors another side of Canberra, highlighting hidden gems and hot spots.

Amelia quit her 9-5 job in late-2017 to turn her side hustles into her full time businesses!
